I’m a freelance journalist living in Chicago, specializing in sports reporting and feature writing. My work has appeared in the Northwest Herald (Crystal Lake, Ill.) and Howlermagazine.com.
Before moving to the midwest, I was a community reporter for the Orange County Register, covering sports in South Orange County as well as city life and government in Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel, Calif.
Prior to joining the Register as a full-time content trainee, I worked part-time for SBNation.com writing for its national newsdesk program and was also a communications intern with the LA Galaxy during the 2012 MLS season.
I attended college at Loyola Marymount University where I was the Sports Editor of the student newspaper, The Loyolan, and president of the California Chi chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
In the summer of 2011 I was selected as Poynter College Fellow by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida.
While I’m now fighting the cold in Chicago, I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona.
